IRONWOOD IPE HARDWOOD

  • Iron Woods® Premium Clear All-Heart Grade - for a superior project appearance, the second quality boards with undesirable defects, like knots or sapwood streaks, worm holes and milling defects, are rejected at the mill.
  • 100% Pure Ipe - Iron Woods are inspected to be 100% Ipe, Tabebuia spp. Lapacho. Other similar looking, but lower performing and often less expensive species, are identified and rejected.
  • 100% First Quality - for superior performance Iron Woods is hand selected to eliminate the less desirable boards. No name "Ipe decking" may include second quality boards.
  • Iron Woods® Registered Trademark - assures that you will receive the highest quality, service, and support from the time proven leading importer of Ipe decking, Cecco Trading Inc. Others may call their decking "ironwood" but genuine Iron Woods are only available through our exclusive distribution network.
  • Highest Decay Resistance - durability rating by the US Forest Labs of 25 years plus!
  • Superior Tallies - of the preferred long length deck boards for installation ease.
  • Superior Scratch Resistance - extremely dense Iron Woods are over twice as hard as oak. This minimizes scratching from pets, furniture, or snow shovels.
  • Superior Strength - Iron Woods 1x6 decking can replace cedar or redwood 2x6 decking. It is over twice as strong as oak and many times stronger than plastics or composites.
  • Superior Stability - the wood characteristics of Iron Woods allow the boards to resist twisting, bow, cracks, and cupping with little movement from season to season.
  • Fire Resistant - rated similar to concrete or steel, NFPA Class A
  • Highly Resistant To Termite Attack - US Naval Research Lab tested, over 15 years in the ground without attack by termites.
  • Natural Wood Product - Iron Woods do not contain any harmful chemicals.
  • Low Maintenance - left unsealed, Iron Woods weather to a handsome silver patina. Or you can choose to periodically apply a sealer to maintain it's rich natural color, which ranges from a golden russet to a classic reddish brown hue.
  • 25-Year Warranty - Iron Woods feature a 25-year warranty that is transferable to future owners.
  • Responsibly Harvested - all Iron Woods are certified as being produced from legally harvested logs and from well-managed, sustained yield forestlands as defined by the International Tropical Timber Organization and Brazilian Forest Code Law 4.771.
